Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage is the most relaxing escape you can give yourself.

Hot stone massage is a luxurious experience that warms muscle tissue to reduce tension and stiffness, increase mental relaxation and elicit physical healing. Performed by placing warm stones on the body then massaging them into the muscles, this massage leaves you feeling relaxed and completely refreshed.

Nothing can describe this service other than wonderful. It truly is an experience you must try at least once in your life. To try this invigorating massage, schedule a hot stone massage in Ashburn with me and take a little trip to paradise.

Benefits of Hot Stone Massage

The hot stones soften muscles which allow for deeper work to facilitate the release of muscle restrictions. Besides feeling so good, hot stone massage helps to:

  • Reduce anxiety, pain, and stress
  • Promote mental and physical relaxation
  • Promote local circulation in the area where it is applied
  • Warm soft-tissue structures so they are ready for firm work more quickly

Hot stone massage can help those with chronic muscle conditions such as frozen shoulder, fibromyalgia, muscle restrictions after surgery, sports injury/over-use injury recovery, lower back pain or even menstrual cramps.

There are certain precautions to take with this massage. If you are pregnant or have a skin condition or open wound, hot stone massage is not able to be performed. If you have a medical condition, check with your doctor to make sure that hot stone massage therapy is right for you.

Preparing for a Hot Stone Massage

Every session is performed with clean sterilized (hospital-grade conditioner) basalt stones. The stones are heated to 120 degrees. If you have an intolerance to heat, then this service may not be the right service for you.

There is a brief time where the hot stones are placed on your body. During this placement phase of the service, the stones are never directly placed on the skin. However, you will be massaged with the hot stones after the placement phase where the hot stones will come in direct contact with the skin. It is safe and therapeutic. In this service, stones are never placed on the face.
