Lymphatic Drainage

Feeling sluggish because of a poor functioning lymph system.

Lymphatic drainage is a very gentle technique.  It is used to increase lymph flow and encourage the natural drainage of toxins, bodily waste, and inflammation from the lymph system. It is beneficial for those who have recently gone through a surgery, dealt with any autoimmune or inflammatory disorders, have swollen lymph nodes (commonly under the arms, throat, and groin) and scar appearance reduction.

To truly feel the effects of lymphatic drainage, schedule a lymphatic drainage and let me help you feel better and more relaxed.

Benefits

The lymph system cleans the toxins in the cardiovascular system and the tissues of the body. It relies on a minimal set of intrinsic contractions of cells that line the walls of the lymph vessels as well the contraction and movement of skeletal muscles to propel lymph through the vessels and into the lymph nodes.

From these nodes, the lymph travels to the lymph ducts which return the lymph to the cardiovascular system. When these nodes become clogged or backed up they no longer function properly causing the lymph system becomes sluggish, stagnant and unresponsive.

Lymphatic drainage massage solves this problem by manually being the pump for the lymph system to help move along and restore its natural flow. You may feel less pain and see your swollen lymph nodes go down.

Lymphatic drainage can help in the:

  • Reduction in edemas (swelling)
  • Detoxification of the body
  • Relief of chronic pain
  • Reduction in the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia
  • Regeneration of tissues

Preparing for Lymphatic Drainage

The number of sessions varies greatly. They can be from just one session up to three or more a week over the course of several weeks.

Always come to the session wearing comfortable clothes. Make sure you are hydrated. Take the time before your appointment to identify points of pain and stress. You and I will have a conversation before your massage begins to identify how I can best help you feel like your better self.

Don’t let your body’s swelling and pain keep you from enjoying your life. Schedule a lymphatic drainage in Ashburn today. Contact me at 703-249-4829 and schedule an appointment.
