Stay on top of your massage care

It’s important to stay on top of your massage care even if you feel good.  Really take a minute to hear me out.  Most people tend to get massages when they feel bad, are in pain.  I get that.  Once they start to feel better they flat out stop getting massages.  I get that too. But is that really the best way?  Probably not.

If you’re continuing to do the same things you were doing that brought about the discomfort then more than likely the same pain will come back maybe stronger or in a different area.  The body has the ability to deal with a lot of trauma and impact.  It’s built for that.  But there has to be a way to release that trauma or else, that trauma turns into tension.  That tension can become very difficult to release.

Psychology of massage

I know massage care can be time consuming and costly.  It can also be extremely therapeutic and beneficial.  A better approach than going cold turkey is to come less frequently.  Put more time in between your massages.  This will help alleviate the reoccurrence of pain.  Your mind and body will expect that it will be getting relief soon.  In the long run this will save you time and money.  Just a thought and something to consider because I see it time and time again.
